8.9.19 - Evette and Creighton hired us for day of coordinating their beautiful wedding in August. We met only once after our initial consultation to go over all of their final details. Then, all of a sudden it was time for the rehearsal!
If you haven't been to the Little Log House Pioneer Village, you need to go check it out. It is this adorable little village with so many great places and things to explore and so many good photo opportunities! Not only are there fun things to do, the village hall, where the reception was, is so well done and updated absolutely beautifully!
Evette and Creighton got ready in the bride's and groom's suites. They are centrally located right by both chapel and reception venue and both so perfect for everyone to have a space to hang out and get ready. The first look was inside of the gorgeous chapel onsite, where the ceremony was to take place as well. The chapel was rebuilt there to save it from being demolished and it was perfect for them on their wedding day. A little aisle runner and some pew decorations were all we needed with a place as beautiful as this.
Evette's dress was timeless with a gorgeous lace train. She had a large beautiful bouquet and a small charm with loved ones who had passed. This small detail was so cute and touching for everyone. What a good way to keep those loved ones close to you on your special day.
As the ceremony started, a violin played as the wedding party took their places and the bride came down the aisle. The officiant, Gordy, read their personal vows as Evette said she would cry if she read them. There ceremony also had a special time capsule of sorts where the bride, groom, and a few others put letters in a box with a bottle of wine, not to be opened until their first anniversary. As they left the church in celebration, they were both couldn't believe they were finally married and got to enjoy a second to themselves before everyone came out for the receiving line and it was just so heartwarming. They are the sweetest and most in love. Perfect for each other!
The wedding party did pictures all over the village, which turned out so fun and so cool! When it was time for the reception, cocktail hour and dinner were in the village hall. The room was decorated with cafe lighting from Next Level Event Rental and a mixture of floral and lantern centerpieces from Tulips and a Kiss. Cocktail hour started with everyone getting cute little coins for their first drink free in personalized wedding cups! Dinner was also spectacular buffet from True Taste - Chef Jef. The champagne chicken you guys, I crave just thinking about it. Dessert was cake from Hyvee and again guests were blown away!
Guests had a blast dancing the night away. Then, everyone's favorite part - late night pizzas! Danielle Loran Events team then tackled take down and loaded everything up in the grooms car so when the dance was done, they were all set to go! Shuttles brought guests safely back to two different hotels and that was a wrap! The day turned out so perfectly and I know that Evette and Creighton's love will last a lifetime!
